All awning and blind  fittings are high-grade to stand the test of time in the great Australian outdoors. Quality is never compromised on any of our products, so for awnings and blinds that look great, fit well and are hassle free, you need Sunset Canvas.  Awnings and blinds are manufactured at our factory and can be fully installed by us or with our instructions and guidelines fitted by the home handyman. ZipTrak Blinds... ZipTrak blinds are unparalleled on today’s market, creating a stylish and tidier look, yet being easy to operate and providing more complete protection against the wind and rain. Ideal for closing in a covered roof area, patio or pergola, their sturdy framework and easy glide system make these blinds a convenient option – no straps, pulleys, ropes or buckles, no flapping and no hassles. ZipTrak blinds will keep your area warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Clear PVC, Outlook mesh, canvas or light-weight acrylics are the best fabric options and enhance the look and feel of your home or business.   Manufacture and Fitting Details… The frame system allows the fabric to slide smoothly through guides at the side of the frame onto the top roller, stopping in the slotted side tracks at any position you require for your desired level of privacy or weather protection. The gearbox that turns the top roller can be crank handle operated or spring loaded – the best option is dependent on your area. The bottom bar will finish flush with the floor for a neat seal. The aluminium guide and framework has a powdercoated finish and high quality components are used throughout. Optional Extras… Pelmets or metal flashings are available to complement your blinds. Manual or motorised operation is also available.     Cord and Pulley Blinds... Cord and Pulley blinds can be fitted in most areas. Clear or tinted PVC or Outlook mesh fabrics are popular for this style of blind. The canvas and light-weight acrylic fabrics also are good options. (Clear and tinted PVC cord and pulley blinds are also commonly known as clear bistro blinds, clear cafe blinds or clear patio blinds.) Manufacture and Fitting Details… Manufactured with an easy to use pulley system, cord and pulley blinds are raised and lowered by pulling or releasing the 5mm plaited rope that runs over the pulleys. In a pocket at the top of the blind is a steel support batten that screws into the headboard. The bottom pocket of the blind is fitted with a 38mm galvanised tube to create stability and acts as a roller when pulling the blind up or down. Terylene webbing straps anchor the blind when in use. Tracks and fittings are powdercoated. Cleats to wrap the cord around when the blind is rolled up and breeching staples to anchor the blind at the bottom, are always stainless steel. Pan plates can also be used to anchor the blind dependent on where the blind is being fitted. Optional Extras… Zippers can be sewn into each side of the blind for additional stability, tension and weather protection. We only use YKK No 10 Chunky Tooth Zips because of their superior quality. Automatic Blinds...   Automatic blinds are spring loaded and adjustable with various locking positions along the guide bars. This puts you in control as automatic blinds are easily hand operated so you can determine how much privacy and sun protection you require. Outlook mesh, canvas or light-weight acrylic fabrics are the best option for automatic blinds. Manufacture and Fitting Details… A guide and roller system is used to install automatic blinds. The guide is attached to your wall using the appropriate fitting dependent on your wall construction. The awning is spring-loaded and the arms slide along the guide and can then be locked in at any position using the spring mechanism. The bottom of the blind contains a five-sided, powdercoated roller and this is held when levering the automatic blind up and down. The fabric automatically rolls on and off the top roller as you position the blind. The blinds have a scalloped or straight valance on the bottom edge. Optional Extras… Colourbond pelmets are available for automatic blinds in a standard range of colours or powdercoating is also available.   Fixed Frame Awnings... There are several styles of fixed frame awnings including eyelid, dutch and standard fixed awnings. Our range of fixed frame awnings can be used for both practical and aesthetic purposes and are perfect sun and rain protection for windows, doorways and walkways. There is a range or shapes and sizes and these awnings are popular in both canvas and light-weight acrylics.   Manufacture and Fitting Details…   Shapes and sizes of eyelid and dutch awnings vary with each situation.  Basic fixed frame awnings have fixed arms that are secured into position.  The steel awning frames will not rust or deteriorate with weathering and can be powdercoated. The fabric skin is tensioned over the frame. These awnings can be attached to most buildings using the appropriate method depending on your wall construction.     Shop Drop Blinds...   Shop drop blinds, as the name suggests, are popular for commercial use but can also be used for the home. Any fabric can be used but if screenprinting is required light-weight acrylic is the best option.   Manufacture and Fitting Details…   Shop drop blinds lower straight down from where they are fixed and the “U” hook creates stability as it is secured to the headboard on both sides of the blind. In a pocket at the top the shop drop blind is a steel support batten that screws into the headboard. The bottom pocket of the blind is fitted with a 38mm galvanised tube to act as a roller when pulling the blind up or down. The shop drop blind is raised or lowered using the cord and pulley system. Tracks and fittings are powdercoated.   Optional Extras…   Signwriting your logo or business name on shop drop blinds can promote your business when using these blinds in a commercial application.     Folding Arm Awnings...   Folding arm awnings provide a shaded extension to your living area. There are no obtrusive vertical supports and the folding arm awnings fold back to the wall when not in use. Sizes vary and folding arm awnings are available in Outlook mesh, canvas or light-weight acrylic fabrics.   Manufacture and Fitting Details…   Folding arm awnings can only be fitted to walls that are structurally sound to take the wind loads and have reinforced anchor points. They operate using a crank handle to wind-up or extend out.   Optional Extras…   Folding arm awnings can be fitted for motorized operation. They can also include sun and wind sensors so the awning automatically adjusts to the weather conditions.       Awning and Blind Fabrics...   Awnings and blinds can be manufactured in a number of different fabrics – choose the fabric to suit your needs: Clear & Tinted PVC Heavy-duty 0.75mm thick clear or tinted PVC; Joins and hems high-frequency welded wherever possible; Perfect for cafes, restaurants, verandahs, decks, etc; Will not obstruct your view; Protection from the wind and rain; Keeps in the winter warmth.   Outlook Mesh – “Privacy with a View” Heavy-duty PVC mesh fabric; Creates privacy – from the outside you cannot see through the fabric during the day; Doesn’t block the view – from inside your view is not hindered; Dims the glare; Ideal for verandahs, decks, etc; Large range of plain and stripe fabrics.     Canvas   100% block-out fabric; Protection from the weather; Large range of plain and stripe fabrics.         Light-Weight Acrylics   100% block-out fabric; Protection from the weather; Easy maintenance; Large range of plain and stripe fabrics.
